Life is continuing at a rapid pace and the blog is not getting the appropriate amount of attention. I wanted to check in with you all and let you know that all is well, hard to imagine it being better in fact.
Spring Shawl is progressing nicely. If all goes well, I will be finished with the center by the end of the weekend and will be able to provide good pictures prior to starting the border. My love continues to run deep for this project. I will not be swayed by the temptations of others. And even if I spend a few moments with Print o' the Wave this weekend, it will only be so that I can provide you, dear readers, with pictures prior to picking up border stitches for Spring Shawl, pictures that can only be obtained at home and since I won't be at home this weekend....
My "baby" cousins are graduating from high school this weekend so I'm venturing to Arlington, Texas for the big event. My sister and I are driving up Friday and returning on Sunday. I'm hoping there will be time for knitting but one never knows with these things. A happy coincidence - the Asylum Street Spankers are playing in Fort Worth on Saturday and the siblings and the older cousin and I are going! I'm wonderfully excited. You may recall that I have a crush on one of the band members so this goes a long way in explaining my excitement.
I've been keeping busy - spending time at the yarn store, going to see live music, hanging out with friends at bars, seeing family, drinking coffee with interesting people who are on their way to becoming friends, and enjoying slam poetry. So if you don't see me 'round these here parts, know that I'm out there, enjoying life and knitting Spring Shawl when I have a few free moments.
I still have not purchased light bulbs. I'm beginning to wonder if I really need them if I've gone this long without them. But the bathroom could really use a bit more light.
I've never been here before. I linked from another blog that I had linked to (and so on, and so on...) You're freakin' amazing! I can barely eke out a Branching Out Scarf (an amazing 14" on my fourth try so far...) and you work magic with lace. And you think it's fun.
Omigosh. I'm Bloglining your blog just so I can gape in awe as you knit.
Thank you for the privilege. ;-)

You could probably get by w/o lightbulbs until daylight savings ends again.
Have fun at the graduation! and the coffee! and the yarn shop! and...
